Breeds - Flemish Giant

Wildwood Macy (Doe, Mismarked Steel), Wildwood Fergus (Buck, Steel)

HISTORY: Also developed by Chroistopher Wren in the early 1920s, the flemish giant is probably the best known rabbit in the world. The flemish giant has appeared in practically every country where rabbits are domesticated. Giant rabbits have been noted for centuries; there was an Italian Giant as early as 1555. The original standard Flemish Giant was made in 1895. The shape and size of the Flemish Giant has changed over the years from a heavy, clumsy rabbit, which made it look as if it needed an extra pair of legs in the middle, to a long cylindrical body, which is solid and firm.

AVERAGE WEIGHT: 5.9kg and over

COLOUR: Dark steel grey, with even or wavy ticking over the while of the body, head, ears, chest and feet alike, except belly and under tail, which shall be white.
