Breeds - Jersey Wooly

NOT BREEDING JERSEY WOOLY RABBITS IN 2009

Wildwood Morgana (Seal Point, Doe), Wildwood Lola (Sooty Fawn Butterfly, Doe)

HISTORY: Bonnie Seeley of New Jersey (America) developed this breed in the 1970s. She wanted to produce a small wooled breed for her pet rabbit business. She used Angora and Netherland Dwarfs to produce the breed known as Jersey Wooly today, using a selection process to downsize the animals. They were first excepeted as a breed at the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) convention in 1988. We believe that they became available in Australia in the year 2000.
