• Anticeptic Soap or Gel ... To clean hands before working on sick or injured rabbit.
• Cotton Swabs and Cotton tip applicators ... For cleansing wounds and for the application of medicine.
• Antiseptic which could include peroxide, betadine or own choice for cleansing wounds and treating possible abscesses.
• Debrisol Spray ... for wounds made by 'Troy Products' used on infected wounds daily to remove puss and dead skin build up. Do not use near eyes.
• Antibiotic Cream or Powder. I recommend Terramycin Pinkeye Powder made by 'Pfizer', the powder does not seem to hurt and can be puff applicated to the area. Great for baby rabbits with sticky eye.
• Nipple Cream or Bepanthen Cream can be used on sore hocks this relieves pain and can soften the skin to help it heal.
• Scourban Oral anti-diarrhoeal suspension for loose poos, made by 'Bomac', can get this from vet and some fodder stores.
• Calcium Sandoz Syrup or infacol drops for GI stasis or tummy pain, wind, bloat and good for new mums who look a little depressed.
• Nervatona Stress Relief from the health section of any good chemist. Good for when you are travelling with any animal. One drop inside the ear will be good enough for about 1 hour, you may dilute into a spray bottle is using 1/2 cup of distilled water and then add 1 tablespoon of the Nervatona, spray a mist into mouth and into ears for a calm bunny and a spray for the owner too. Made by 'Brauer Natural Medicine'.
• Electrolyte Powder added to watre for a dehydrated rabbit suffering from the runs.
• Iodine Solution for use on wounds.
• Disposable Scalpels for cleaning abscesses and removing stitches if they were needed.
• Ear and Fur Mite medication.
• Worming Solution suitable for Rabbits.
• Surgical Scissors
• Forceps/Tweezers 1 pair sharp ended and 1 pair flat ended.
• A selection of syringes, to feed babies, give medications and to flush wounds.
• Syringe needles of assorted sizes, just in case.
